The Club is a membership organization made up of professional business men and women, dedicated to the Spirit of Exchange. The goal is to serve to improve the life of the community and its people without any expectation of reward or profit. Established in 1929, the Exchange Club of Highlandtown-Canton is a nonprofit community service organization affiliated with the National Exchange Club. The Highland town-Canton Club’s members have strong ties to Southeast Baltimore, where many of them were born and raised. The Club’s primary educational program is a four-year college Scholarship project dedicated to enabling a graduating high school senior to go to college. This program addresses a pressing need in Southeast Baltimore, where more and more college-capable children cannot get a higher education because they can’t afford tuition and fees.
